Speech Language Therapist & Literacy Instructor
Vivian earned her bachelors with honors in Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Masters of Science in Speech, Language, and Learning at Northwestern University. She has worked in numerous settings as a special education teacher and as a speech-language pathologist in the United States, including public schools, private schools, the subacute medical setting, as well as private clinics.
She has been a long-time advocate of individuals with learning and communication needs, and she is passionate about her work with children who have needs in speech sound production, speech sound sequencing, expressive-receptive language, fluency (stuttering), and augmentative/alternative communication. She is experienced in working with preschool- and elementary-aged children with autism who have a wide variety of communication intents and capabilities.
Vivian is a certified member of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists. She is also fluent in Mandarin.
