Being a teenager has always been challenging. Physical changes, new feelings, and the importance of peer relationships have always marked this phase of life. However, it has recently been made all the more challenging with the addition of the internet, social media and increasing academic pressure. While teens may need help or advice at times, they don't always feel comfortable asking for it or know who to turn to.
This teen check-in group, led by a trained clinician, is a safe space for teens to come and discuss the challenges they encounter with other teens their age.Topics will revolve around general problems teens face but may be changed and adapted to the needs of the group. Topics will involve, peer relationships, social media, Internet safety, stress, academic difficulties as well as parental relationships.
