Tiffany Chiu graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2016 with a Bachelor (Hons) in Early Childhood Education. She also completed a Master’s in Psychology (School and Community) in 2020.
Having taught in a variety of early childhood education settings in both Australia and Hong Kong (learning clinics, NGOs and international schools), Tiffany has a deep understanding of the diverse learning needs from children of various cultural and social backgrounds. Tiffany collaborates Mainly working with children between the ages of 2-12, Tiffany provides 1:1 ABA intensive interventions and skills & self-care training in supporting children and their family. If applicable, play therapy may also be introduced to assist the children with their emotional regulation development and self-esteem.
Tiffany collaborates with teachers from both local and international schools as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting children within their school setting. As the ABA/ Play therapist at the BFDC, Tiffany incorporates games and creative elements into intervention plans, encouraging the child to learn and develop through the experience. Since March 2022, Tiffany has also been a regular columnist for the Parent-Child magazine “EugeneBaby”, authoring topics relating to child self-care and providing game ideas for parents to enhance parent-child interactions.
Whilst Tiffany recognises that all children are unique, she will always act in the best interest of the child. Whether it is through building up a child’s self-confidence or passing on education techniques to his/her parents, Tiffany ultimately aims to provide a platform from which a child positively develop and achieve their potential.
