Social Emotional Learning Group

This class is suitable for children 6-8 years old.

Thursdays, starting August 31 through October 5 from 4-5 pm.

An engaging workshop to help kids review and polish social-emotional regulation skills in anticipation of the next school year. The goal of these sessions is to equip your children with an increased ability to self-manage their emotions and to demonstrate better communication and relationship skills.

The way children interact with their peers and handle their emotions can set the stage for more or less success or distress as they develop and confront the many individual and social challenges of growing up. The ability to accurately recognize one’s emotions leads to better impulse control and self-regulation. Taking perspective and practicing empathy informs making good decisions while negotiating conflicts.

These sessions will draw on art and play therapy techniques, as well as CBT based approaches such as role play and mindfulness practices in order to foster the social and emotional development of your child.

HK$5500 for 8 sessions: 6 groups, 1 individual needs assessment session, 1 individual follow-up recommendations session. Any desired refunds must be requested by 1 week prior to the first scheduled group session (by Aug 24). Prorated refunds will not be offered in the event of partial or full non-attendance after Aug 24.
