What is an assessment?

A comprehensive evaluation of your child’s cognitive, academic and social-emotional functioning.

It aims to illuminate both areas of strength and patterns of difficulty.

Provide parents, teachers and the child with helpful and specific strategies for success.

The assessment is conducted by a team of child development experts.

Information is gathered from a combination of testing parent interviews, teacher and academic reports, and in-person observation by a trained psychologist.

Assessments are confidential. The results are not shared with anyone without specific request from the child and parents.
Who should have an assessment?
A psychoeducational assessment is beneficial for everyone, but it can especially useful if a child is:

Unexpectedly struggling at school

Having difficulty learning a particular skill

Suspected of having a learning disability

Struggling emotionally or socially

Having difficulty with attention and focus

Looking to qualify for testing accommodations (SAT, IB, A-levels etc)

Applying to a school that requires a psychoeducational assessment
