How to Worry Less
This group is suitable for teens 14-17 year old.
DATES AND TIMES
Thursdays, August 24 and 31, and September 7, 14, 21, 28, 5-6 pm.
All of us worry at times, and what we worry about is related to what is important to us at various points in our lives. Teens typically worry about a variety of things relating to their individual development, social lives, academics and family relationships. When worry happens too frequently, is too distressful, and/or lasts for too long, it can cause an increase in anxiety and interfere with achieving goals at home, at school and in the larger social environment.
These sessions utilize evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy approaches that incorporate mindfulness practices in order to help teens gain the ability to reduce worry and to manage stress and anxiety more effectively.
HK$5500 for 8 sessions: 6 groups, 1 individual needs assessment session, 1 individual follow-up recommendations session. Any desired refunds must be requested by 1 week prior to the first scheduled group session (by August 17). Prorated refunds will not be offered in the event of partial or full non-attendance after August 17.
