John has lived the majority of his life in Hong Kong and was educated in the English Schools Foundation. After attaining his Honours Degree in the UK, he realized his ambition and passion for working with children and adolescents and moved to Australia. In Australia he completed a Masters in Applied Developmental Psychology and Graduate Diploma in Special Education at the University of Western Australia.
Having gained extensive experience working down under in both government and non-government schools John developed the unique vantage that each issue a child and adolescent endures must be dealt with from an educational, psychological, emotional, and social perspective. Whilst working, his interest in managing challenging behaviour was nourished and his approach to dealing with learning difficulties and psycho-educational assessments was mastered.
Now, having returned to his childhood home John employs the latest evidence-based programs and therapies, which confront the wide range of issues children and adolescents have to deal with at home, at school and in everyday life.
His specific areas of interest lie in social skill programs, anger management, behaviour management as well as academic and cognitive assessments.
