Our Quarantine Mental Health Services are available online in English and Cantonese for families, couples and individuals.
This online service runs 1, 2 or 3 weeks in length, depending on the client’s needs. It includes both daily check-ins and a weekly one-hour session to address issues that may arise during this period of isolation and boredom. Clients may also request support for specific issues, such as grieving and loss or other existing difficulties.
Individual and couples programs are for clients aged 18+.
FOR FAMILIES – Lots of Faces in a Little Space!
Daily scheduled check-in at a set time to ensure families in quarantine are coping well. Check-ins last 15 minutes and may include review of coping skills and other tips for making it through quarantine. Also includes one hour-long session a week to discuss any issues that arise during quarantine.
Topics during weekly sessions include parenting strategies, recommendations for family activities, setting a schedule, and other guidance provided by a certified family therapist.
FOR COUPLES – Quarantine Relationship Builder
Daily scheduled check-in at a set time to ensure couples in quarantine are coping well. Check-ins last 10 minutes and may include review of coping skills and other tips for making it through quarantine. Couples will receive separate check-in slots. Includes one hour-long couples session a week to discuss any issues that arise during quarantine or to focus on relationship growth.
Topics for relationship growth include communication, building commitment and trust, identifying unhealthy patterns, repairing and rebuilding, and recovery from loss. Expressive Art Therapy is also available as a modality. Clients may request support for specific issues.
FOR INDIVIDUALS – Quarantine Mental Health Check-In
Daily scheduled check-in at a set time to ensure those in quarantine are coping well. Check-ins last 10 minutes and may include review of coping skills and other tips for making it through quarantine. Service includes one hour-long session per week to discuss any issues that arise during quarantine.
Focus will be on positive psychology, mindfulness, building resilience, managing anxiety, and best practices for enduring social and physical isolation. Expressive Art Therapy is also available as a modality. Clients may request specific support, ex. support for grieving and loss.
