Description

This program is suitable for children ages 5-12 years old.

Our Literacy Program uses the Orton-Gillingham approach which is a multi-sensory, structured approach for children who need support with reading, spelling, and writing.

Following a one-on-one instructional model, this engaging program aims to make literacy goals achievable by using training on phonics in a systematic manner. Using the approach, children will learn to decode, encode and develop fluency and automaticity at word level.

  • Grade 1 to 3 – Oral language, letter sounds, listening and comprehension, fluency
  • Grade 3 to 5 – Reading fluency, expression, summarising, main idea
  • All grades – Creative and persuasive writing

Please phone the BFDC for a free 20-minute consultation to discuss how Orton-Gillingham can support and improve your child’s literacy skills.
