Moms with Wee Ones

A monthly informal group for new mothers to learn, find support, and share knowledge and experiences.

Dates & times

Thursdays, once a month from 10 – 11 am. March 21, April 18 and May 16.

Description

This group warmly welcomes mothers with children 0-2 years old. Mums can choose to come with their child or alone. It’s up to each mum.

Being a mom is most rewarding — but let’s be honest — it is not without challenges, especially if you are away from the support of family and loved ones. From hormones to lack of sleep, to feeling completely clueless and worrying about far too many things, making the transition to motherhood can be tough. And do not forget your relationship as it changes from duo to trio.

Come join like-minded women in this  informal group for new moms to learn, support each other, and exchange knowledge and information. The focus is on self-care and the transition to motherhood. It’s about being “good enough”, because honestly, there are no perfect parents!

Each session will include a brief talk on an aspect of post partum wellness, followed by plenty of opportunity to share and discuss experiences.

1. March 21, “Help! I am a new mom.” Topic: Self care, post partum depression, and parental anxiety.
2. April 18, “Come play with me.” Topic: Playful mothering and attachment.
3. May 16, “Your feelings, my feelings our feelings.” Topic: The importance of emotional co-regulation.
